Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), is a Public Sector Undertaking and a Group Company of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., in the field of Hydro-carbon processing with a refining capacity of 12 MMTPA, having Refineries located in Chennai and Nagapattinam, in Tamil Nadu.
CPCL invites applications from bright, young and energetic persons of Indian Nationality for the position of REFINERY OPERATOR (CHEMICAL) . The number of vacancies indicated are tentative which may increase or decrease in the relevant categories at the absolute discretion of the Management.
Vacancies: 23 (UR-12, OBC-6, SC-5).
Educational qualification:
The candidates should complete their Diploma in Chemical / Petroleum / Petro-Chemical Engg. / Technology or B.Sc. with Chemistry as a major subject with first class mark from Government recognized University / Institute In full time regular course. For SC candidates 55% is enough.
Experiences:
The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in relevant post qualification work experience in Process Units in Refining / Chemical / Petro-chemical / Fertilizer plant and also having work experience related to operation of Fired Heaters, Exchangers, Compressors, Distillation Columns, Reactors, High Pressure Vessels, Effluent Treatment Plant, Cooling towers, Tank farm, Pressurized storage bullets, Pump House, etc. The experience period calculated up to 31.08.2013.
Age limit: The candidates should be 30 years old on 31.08.2013; relaxation period for OBC candidates is 3 years and for SC/ST candidates 5 years
Pay scale: The salary for this posting is in the IDA pay scale of Rs.11, 900-32,000. The basic pay is RS.11, 900 in Grade IV in Non-Supervisory cadre, subject to medical fitness. The other allowances / benefits include HRA / Self-Lease, PF, Gratuity, LTC / LFA, Reimbursement of Medical expenses, Superannuation benefits, etc., will be provided by the Company in addition to the basic pay and DA.
