Applications are invited from eligible sports persons for the following sports disciplines for Group ‘C’ and erstwhile Group ‘D’ posts on Western Railway as under:

• GROUP “C”:
• Posts Details: 3 posts in PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs. 2400/2800
• Posts Details: 9 posts in PB- 1 Rs. 5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs. 1900/2000

• Cricket (Men):Batsman, All Rounder (Spin/Pace)
• Volleyball (Men ) :Centre Blocker, Attacker, Set Upper
• Volleyball (Women ) : Centre Blocker, Attacker, Set Upper
• Kabaddi (Men) :All Rounder
• Kabaddi (Women) : All Rounder
• Erstwhile GROUP “D”
• Posts Details: 14 posts in PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 Grade Pay 1800
• Athletics (Men ):Triple Jump, High Jump, Long Jump, Pole Vault,Javelin Throw, 20 Km. Walk, 110 M (H),Shot Put
• Athletics (Women) :400M,400 (H),100 M (H), 800 M, 1500 M, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Discus Throw, Shot Put, Javelin Throw , 20 Km. Walk.,5000 M
• Cricket (Men):Batsman, All Rounder (Spin/Pace)
• Weightlifting :69 Kg., 77 Kg., 85 Kg., 94 Kg., 105 Kg., +105 Kg.
• Football (Men) :Forward, Half, Stopper,Goal Keeper.

How to Apply :

Application as per format given alongside with two passport size photographs should be addressed to Sr. Sports Officer, Western Railway Sports Association, Headquarter Office, Churchgate, Mumbai-400 020. Last date of Receipt of Application is 29-8-2011 up to 17.00 hrs. After this, no application will be accepted. Railway will not be responsible for any postal delay. Applications should be sent by ordinary post only in a closed envelope or to be dropped in the application box provided for the purpose in the Headquarters Office upto 17.00 hrs. on 29-8-2011 . No acknowledgmentat the counter will be given. Application sent by courier / by Registered A/D or Registered Post will not be accepted. Any discrepancy found in the application and papers submitted by the applicant will render the application invalid. On the top of the envelope “APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA FOR THE YEAR 2011-12” should be superscribed.
