Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit (as on 01 December 2012):
Minimum: 21 years.
Maximum: 35 years.

Educational Qualification:

A “Miscellaneous receipt” will be issued by the LIC of India as token of the fees collected.  Candidates are required to keep the original and photocopy of the ‘Miscellaneous receipt’ for future use.
Candidates can register on-line only after obtaining the ‘Miscellaneous receipt’ for payment of application fee as fee deposit details are to be filled in the online application form. Without the ‘Miscellaneous Receipt’, the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the written test / Interview.

Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in personal Interview.
If the number of applications received is large, the corporation may hold a written test to shortlist candidates for the Interview. The written test, if held, will have Multiple Choice Objective Type questions on Sales aptitude, Reasoning, Numerical Ability and General Knowledge. Those qualifying the written test will be called for Interview.
The date and venue of the written test will be communicated to the eligible candidates through email and also posted on LIC’s website http://www.licindia.in. Candidates are advised to regularly check the site for this purpose.

Interview: Eligible candidates (shortlisted directly / those who qualify the written test) will be called for an Interview. The Corporation reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for written test and / or interview commensurate with number of Direct Sales Executives to be engaged.
Candidates can download the call letter for written test / Interview from LIC’s website www.licindia.in. They will have to submit the call letter along with the Miscellaneous Receipt at the time of written test / Interview.

Medical Examination & Training: Candidates qualifying the Interview will have to clear a medical examination, to be carried out by a Medical Examiner authorized by LIC for the purpose. Those found medically fit will have to undergo a Theoretical training and pass IRDA licensing test for obtaining the license to procure Life Insurance Business within a maximum period of three months in maximum three attempts, following which he /she  will be engaged as an apprentice Direct Sales Executive (DSE).
During apprenticeship, the candidate will be given an insurance related training. The apprentice DSE will be paid a fixed one time stipend of Rs.3500. On completion of the apprenticeship, candidates will be required to pass a test on the same. Those passing the test will be engaged as Direct Sales Executive on contract basis for a period of 3 years.

Remuneration:  Performance based monthly remuneration.
[The quantum is dependent on DSE’s achievement of specific business benchmarks and performance of assigned tasks to the satisfaction of Corporation.]

Bachelor’s Degree from a UGC recognized University. Preference will be given to candidates having Degree / Diploma in Marketing /Management.
Knowledge of English and one Regional language (preferably local language) is desirable.

A “Miscellaneous receipt” will be issued by the LIC of India as token of the fees collected.  Candidates are required to keep the original and photocopy of the ‘Miscellaneous receipt’ for future use.
Candidates can register on-line only after obtaining the ‘Miscellaneous receipt’ for payment of application fee as fee deposit details are to be filled in the online application form. Without the ‘Miscellaneous Receipt’, the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the written test / Interview.

Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in personal Interview.
If the number of applications received is large, the corporation may hold a written test to shortlist candidates for the Interview. The written test, if held, will have Multiple Choice Objective Type questions on Sales aptitude, Reasoning, Numerical Ability and General Knowledge. Those qualifying the written test will be called for Interview.
The date and venue of the written test will be communicated to the eligible candidates through email and also posted on LIC’s website www.licindia.in. Candidates are advised to regularly check the site for this purpose.

Interview: Eligible candidates (shortlisted directly / those who qualify the written test) will be called for an Interview. The Corporation reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for written test and / or interview commensurate with number of Direct Sales Executives to be engaged.
Candidates can download the call letter for written test / Interview from LIC’s website www.licindia.in. They will have to submit the call letter along with the Miscellaneous Receipt at the time of written test / Interview.

Medical Examination & Training: Candidates qualifying the Interview will have to clear a medical examination, to be carried out by a Medical Examiner authorized by LIC for the purpose. Those found medically fit will have to undergo a Theoretical training and pass IRDA licensing test for obtaining the license to procure Life Insurance Business within a maximum period of three months in maximum three attempts, following which he /she  will be engaged as an apprentice Direct Sales Executive (DSE).
During apprenticeship, the candidate will be given an insurance related training. The apprentice DSE will be paid a fixed one time stipend of Rs.3500. On completion of the apprenticeship, candidates will be required to pass a test on the same. Those passing the test will be engaged as Direct Sales Executive on contract basis for a period of 3 years.

Remuneration: Performance based monthly remuneration.
[The quantum is dependent on DSE’s achievement of specific business benchmarks and performance of assigned tasks to the satisfaction of Corporation.]
